Ingredients:1 lb Italian sausage
3 large russet baking potatoes, sliced and diced
1 large onion, chopped
1 bag Oscar Meyer bacon pieces
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups Kale, chopped (You can substitute Swiss Chard if you have to)
2 cans chicken broth
1 quart water
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions:
1. Cook sausage until done. Drain and slice into bite size pieces.
2. Place onions, potatoes, chicken broth, water and garlic into large pot and cook on medium until the potatoes are tender.
3. Add sausage and bacon pieces.
4. Salt and Pepper to taste
5. Simmer for 10 minutes to let the flavors mix
6. Turn heat to low.
7. Add whipping cream and Kale, mix well
8. Heat thru, then serve.
This recipe is delish, but has quite the calorie monster. This is the exact recipie that Olive Garden uses, except I have adjusted the recipe to be heartier and not so thin and cheap.
