Well, this year, me and Rick found ourselves sans kids on the fourth. Anyone who knows us, knows we like to enjoy our holidays to the fullest. So what are two people to do on the fourth of July with no one to buy sparklers for? TRAVEL TO THE BEACH!!!!! 
So, we packed up and headed to Jekyll Island, Georgia. Which, I can tell you, is fast becoming a favorite destination for us! There is so much to do! Not only is there a fabulous water park there (Summer Waves), but there is a beach that spans 9 miles of its coastline! There is a Sea turtle Rehabilitation center there. Also, besides the beautiful nature scenes, is the historic section of the island. We rode a three wheeled bike around the island and took in all the sites. Though it was fun, I think next time we'll rent one of those little red electric bugs! LOL
After a day of walking, biking, playing, swimming, and eating on Jekyll Island, it was time to watch the fireworks. They were spectacular!!! Though next time, I will remember the bug spray! LOL 
All in all, we had a beautiful time on Jekyll Island on the fourth of July, and look forward to many more visits to this amazing sanctuary!
