My secret salsa....

I am a salsa fanatic. BUT, I hate mass produced salsa with a passion. I learned a few years ago how easy it really is to make home made salsa and now my whole family is hooked on mine!

What you will need:

1 large can of petite diced tomatoes
Minced garlic
Lime juice
Serrano pepper (chopped finely)
Cilantro (chopped)
(OPTIONAL)
Green peppers (chopped finely)
Onions (Chopped finely)

1. Open can of tomatoes, dump in large mixing bowl.
2. Add 1 tablespoon minced garlic
3. Add 1 tablespoon Lime juice
4. Add 1 chopped Serrano pepper
5. Add 1/4 cup chopped Cilantro
6. Add any other ingredients you wish.
7. Mix well and place in fridge overnight to let the flavors mix.

Serve!

If you want to can this in a mason jar and send to your soldier, after step 7 spoon into wide mouth mason jars. Wipe rims, place lid and band on. Place on trivet in large pot of water (do not let the water touch the lids). Boil for approx 5 minutes. You will start to hear popping of the lids, this should continue for up to an hour until they are all popped.

Will last up to 6 months!
