So, there I was, trying to figure out how to explain to a teenager what this current Health care Reform would mean if it passed and was signed into legislation. And it came to me, break it down in simple terms that she would understand...Like Dinner time....
Cast of characters:
Mom = Government
Child = Socialist population
Dad = Republic population (Yes, America is a Republic, not a Democracy, look it up)
Food = Health care
Mom buys the food. Mom prepares the food. Mom serves the food. Mom likes the food cause its what SHE wants, likes, thinks is best.
Child doesn't care so much for what mom made, but knows that unless they want a whooping or to go to bed hungry, they MUST eat it. No choice whatsoever. Sucks to be a kid sometimes doesn't it?
Dad sees what mom put on the table, thinks liver totally sucks, goes to McDonald's for dinner instead. Dad is happy. bDad rocks his freedom of CHOICE!
Point made? Who do you wanna be at the dinner table of Health care? Dad or Child? Personally? I wanna be a Mom that serves what her family likes and enjoys and what makes them HAPPY.....
I hope this clears up any questions the kiddos might have about the Health care issues we are facing today!
